The Te Awamutu RSA has proudly served the community for over a century. Throughout the years, as the landscape of our veterans' needs have changed, so too has our organization.
Today, we stand firm on three foundational pillars: Remembrance, Support, and Advocacy. Integrating these principles with our vision of fostering a welcoming environment for all.
We invite you to join us at the Te Awamutu RSA, where you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Bomber Command restaurant and perhaps pair it with a refreshing drink from our bar.
For those with families, the children’s play area and creative activities are designed to ensure younger guests are entertained while adults can relax, reconnect, and catch up.
For music lovers, be sure to join us for live performances, an opportunity to let loose and enjoy the rhythm on the dance floor.
Don't forget to check our calendar for a variety of adjunct activities that cater to different interests and needs within our community.
As veterans ourselves, we understand the deep-seated camaraderie and support that often carries us through military life, which can sometimes feel lost in civilian life. At the RSA, we strive to recreate that sense of community where laughter and friendship can thrive.
We eagerly await the chance to meet you at our club and share everything Te Awamutu RSA has to offer.
Welcome to our family.
Local RSAs provide support services to assist ex-servicemen and women in need, whether they are members of the RSA or not. Each RSA appoints Support Officers to coordinate these services and provide advice on the various community services available.
RSA assistance ranges from monetary grants for those in financial difficulty to helping with practical tasks, visiting the sick, meals-on-wheels, and offering friendship and support in times of need. Listed below are some of the ways we can help:
Help is available to all ex-servicemen and women, their spouses/partner, widows/widowers and dependents, whether they are members of an RSA or not.
Te Awamutu RSA Support Service is managed by our Support Advisor Irene Wardlaw, who has a wealth of experience working with a
diverse range of people and situations and is always ready to listen and advise on the many community services available, and when appropriate on sources of financial assistance.

Our Te Awamutu RSA Women’s Section is a sub section of the Te Awamutu RSA. The Woman's section meet regularly at the RSA Clubrooms and formally meet on the following occasions:
> The First Thursday of the month for Morning Tea and a casual catchup at 10am
> The Second Thursday of the month for our Monthly General Meeting at 1.30pm
> The Fourth Thursday of the month is our Committee Meeting at 10.30am (Committee Only)
Our Woman's Section often organizes days out for excursions to places of interest to visit.
This section also gets more involved in volunteer work which involves raising funds for various community groups and charities. The Woman's Section also offer support to our Veterans, their spouses and dependents.
Most of our own in house fundraising we do is done through raffles. We sell these at our monthly meeting and there are two draws each month. We also run a Women’s Section Bar Raffle within the RSA itself, which goes on a specified week and is drawn 4 to 5 times a year.
The Women’s Section’s at it's busiest leading up to Anzac Day, and our busiest day of the year is Poppy Day. Prior to this day we are busy counting all the poppies and pin each one. We ask permission from places of business if we can pin up posters or set up a stall outside their premises. We also prepare and print the rosters for our volunteers to complete.
Once you have become a member of our Te Awamutu RSA, you can then join our Women’s Section should you choose too, for a nominal fee of $10 per annum.
